Update on my nephew

Je was able to get a little bit of real food today. And this evneing he got in a short walk. A really short walk, but still a walk. The first time out of his room also. YAY!!!

Trent & the BIG surgery

My nephew Trent is scheduled to have his "big" surgery in the morning, 7am. This one will last 4-6 hours if all goes well. They will be placing 2 rods and 12 screws in his back- a reconstruction for his scoliosis, which is causing breathing issues as his spine is currently crushing his lungs.

Please keep him, he's 6, my sister & hubby (Jenny & Richard) and the doctors in your thoughts and prayers. There is a 50% chance he will be paralyzed with this surgery- and we are all scared about the outcome. The attached picture is Trent the day he got released from his last surgery 2 weeks ago.

Here is the address' where cards can be sent if you would like. The hospital won't be very long (if all goes perfectly, which is what we hope for) but my mom will be bringing the other 2 boys over on the weekend so she will be taking any cars/packages with her.

Help cheer up a cute 6yr old little boy

My nephew, he's 6, is having 2 major back surgeries in the next month- the 1st one is Monday. He will be in the hospital for awhile- would love as many cards as possible to decorate his room!

I would love to surprise him with LOADS of cards... I know it would make his day. He's scared but is being super brave.

I should have warned you

It's the end of the end of the school year and no matter- I never can believe when May is over. I am glad it is, but it goes at 120mph and I can never see straight by the end. May 2009 brought: 12K race in Spokane, my mama visitied, the hubs mama visited, N had surgery, found out he broke 2 teeth, the hubs celebrated a birthday, on top of the school stuff.

I have one week left then it's summer vacation.

Then I will be back to my creative juice flowing groove.

Which, I need to get to work on my summer class schedule's don't I... hmmm...

Addicted to moose

Yes, Donna got more in. Yes, I had to get them all too.

I was away- now I'm home & ready to play!

So, we went to Twin Falls & Boise for a long weekend. I forgot to say bye, but that's life. I gave up the computer- but not my camera. I cannot even share the excitement I had when I saw this sign. I was meeting friends all day and evening. Let's not forget all the shop's either (scrapping first and foremost.)

I hit all of them. Except the new one in Meridian that I have no idea where it is (and I forgot to look it up before we left- I remembered when we were in Arco.) I stayed within my budget- and plan to go back this summer to Girlfriends for a crop. So sad to miss their crops because they are super-duper-wonderfully-awesome.

Mr. Brown comes today also- so I'm among lots of new stuff and my creativity got the injection it so needed. YAY!!!

Today is a play till Joe gets home day.

Mr Brown came while DH was here. Oops.

Creative still...

Just not scrapping or stamping related. I need to get a few baby blankets done for my sister, plus as Christmas gifts for all the nieces & nephews (10 of those- Knee's don't share the pictures!) So yesterday I cut a zillion squares, and got to sewing. I completed 2, 3 tops mostly done, and away I go to Missoula tomorrow after I get done at school to pick some border prints & lots more batting.

When I lived in Idaho I quilted all the time-- much more than I do since I've moved to MT. I blame the fact that I no longer call a quilt shop my 2nd "sanity" job, here it's a scrap shop.

Back from vacation & busy as ever!

Well, so I've been back now for about 2 weeks- but as soon as we came back we had visitors for a few days, then school started, and my son will be 10 in 13 days, and life is CRAZY!!!

My goal, since I am back at work full time, is to try to post here at least once a week. The fall seems to always be ever so busy for our family (think work, school, homework, hunting, sports, etc) but once a week sounds doable.

Almost Home

Well, we are almost home. We leave CA in jut a little bit, headed for a weekend in Las Vegas, and home on Monday. We've had a great time, but me knowing that school started (for us) on Thursday, makes me antsy to get to work. The kids go back after Labor Day, and I'll be back this coming Tuesday.

Also looking forward to scrapping most of these GREAT pictures I've taken!!!

I'm gonna get even.

I had a few classes today, and he said no box. Well, I'm home now and my 9 yr old (DH dropped him off at the store on his way to work- 2 blocks from store) told me that he had a secret. Seems DH (dratted instead of dear) bribed the kid to stay mum on my catty box. HE HAS IT IN HIS TRUCK. We live almost 45 miles from where the store/his work is.

So, to get back at him (after I drive back to Stevi to get it- he gets off at 2am, and I will not wait) I am gonna wash all his underwear, and then put it all in the freezer.

Every single pair.

Mr. Brown

Well, he came yesterday, but not with my catty boxes in his arms. My husband has been instructed, should Mr. Brown come, to bring one box to me in Stevensville on his way to work. I'll be there until around 5pm- and Mr. Brown comes around noon.

Of course, should Joe not bring a box, then I will also be wondering if boxes sit on my doorstep!

Sneak Peak! Feelin' Trendy!!

So the new sneak peak is this. Those of you who know me, have visited my house and seen "my" room, or have been reading my blog long enough to see my room transformation know...

But, better than chapstick, it's one of the new DSP's!!

I'm feeling oh so trendy, and so hip! That is a major thing, being the one who has never been hip a day in her life.

It almost, ALMOST, makes it better that while I was painting the room I was web-camming it for my mom to see. Her reaction? "It looks like a tangerine threw up in there."

Well momma, look who won THAT argument. It might have taken 7 months to do it, but I think this proves I won!

Who cares that no one loves my room but me, or that my husband always things aliens are in here (the room glows from under the door) or my son thinks of Home Depot Homer when we work together in here.
