Red Line Tape (any width, but I prefer the 1" wide.)
Pocket Calendar (any type, but I hit up our dollar store- great steal!)
Ribbon
Adhesive
Pretty Paper & embellishments
------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1: Outline the outside of the pocket calendar with red line tape. I do this to give the calendar more weight & durability. The plastic coverings are usually very thin- if you get a cheap calendar. The paper will add bulk- which makes it last forever!
Step 2: Peel off the red protective sheet on the tape, and place paper over the top. Trim paper around the calendar so it is now covered. You can pre cut out the paper, by tracing the calendar as a template. I don't for the pure fact that I can rarely get it centered correctly.
Step 3: Adhere ribbon down the center. I chose to cover most of the ribbon with a coordinating piece of paper. You do not need to do this. I leave enough room at the front so I can tie the ribbon on the front, not the side, so it doesn't get hung up in a bag or purse.
Step 4: Embellish & make it your own!
