It was so clean before I started...

and now I have someone coming over in less than 30 minutes to cut some letters out. Oh the mess!!!!

Been busy..

I'm making up goodies for the May retreat I'm going to (YAY) and my scraproom looks the mess.

I need to clean though- I have company coming for 2 weekend's straight!

2 crops in 2 weeks: this is what happens.

Now, my room is usually messy- but NOT like this. The last 2 weekends have been busy. I've been to 2 crops (Friday nights,) had sleep over's, making dinner's for my neighbor, trips to Missoula, and just normal family life.

I've gotten into the habit of just throwing stuff on the bed. Stacking on the floor. Pawing through the closet in hopes of finding my most favorite envelope template that wasn't where it was supposed to be.

So, here are the before pictures. Don't laugh (unless you take pictures of YOUR craft room and I can laugh too) it's not nice. :)

I do plan on attacking the closet too. Because of the envelope issue. My husband only grunted. But, it's gotta be done. I know what I want to do to my closet- those nifty stack a thing's, but I need measurements so I know exactly what I need.

Home Depot- I'm coming up tomorrow!

I'm also thinking it's time for a new color. Joe REALLY grunted when I said that. What can I say, I get bored easily, and I like change.

Our living room has been painted twice since we've moved in (almost 3 yrs.) So, this little room shouldn't be a problem. My mom might even give her thumb's up. Her response to the room was: "It looks like a tangerine threw up."

Can you tell she loved the color?

I like bold, crazy colors. But I'm thinking I want to go back to my soft green that I had in Kuna.

Joe didn't comment at all when I shared this with him this morning (around 5:30am.)

I wonder how painful it would be to cover the orange...

New deco in my room

SU Decor Elements
Obviously, this is in my scraproom. It's on the back wall, so as soon as you walk in, there it is- I love it!

Before & After

My friend Courtney does "Tackle It Tuesday" and I have always admired her for taking on such challenges. My plan was to do them also over the summer. And today I wanted to tackle my playroom.

BEFORE:

And the unveiling of my personal playroom AFTER!
I have desk space, I have a floor, and I have a bed. I organized the paper racks in my closest, the tubs under my corner spot, and also sifted thru my scrap papers.

I'm so excited to have space on my desk again, I'd forgotten what the table top looked like!

Mess=Creativity?

Well, my husband is on days right now, which means his alarm goes off about 4am. This morning, instead of rolling over till my alarm sounded at 5, I got up. Instead of hitting the gym at 5:10ish I took the dog on a walk and called it good. If I planned it right, I could get in at least 1.5 hours of play time.

Then I walked in and took a look at how I left it the other day. I guess I should take to heart what we're doing for our early out meetings- spring cleaning.

I'm normally pretty good- but if I've made a lot of stuff in a short time, it gets to looking like this. Throw in birthdays, Teacher Appreciation Week, and upcoming graduations-- well, my scrap room is a mess.

I'm having a crop at my house on Friday evening... so I guess I'd better get to cleaning!

Cleaning up the room...

So, I've been working on my room slowly. The last time I posted any photo's of it was right after it was painted, and things were slowly, so slowly, starting to get put back where they belong. I'm still organizing- I have way too much crap, however as I clean, I'm going thru everything also. I made a HUGE headway last night. And this is what has come of it. I have a floor, a bed, and even a little bit of desk. Pretty amazing!!
I still love the colors, and have even decided that orange might be my favorite color of the time. I'm drawn to it now, more than I have ever before. I always thought of it as the ugly step-child of colors. But now, I feel the love for it.
Looks a LOT different that it did when I first moved up to Montana.... huge difference! Well, in color at least!

Headed to BOISE!!!

For anyone interested in going to a MOST FABULOUS cropping adventure, you should head to Boise as well, over Memorial Day weekend. Yup, you should. It's where I will be. Taking a long weekend, celebrating birthdays, cropping, camping, fishing, shopping and visiting friends!! All in 5 days, maybe 6, of bliss!!!

If you are going to be there, you should so let me know.

I might need to get a gift for my sub... near the end of school, kid's might be... scratch that, they WILL be, insanely crazy & ready for school to be out.

OB: in progress

So, my room is a work in progress. I had hoped to have it done by now, but no such luck. Darn school for getting in the way!!

But, it is coming along. My goal today is to finish it. Except for the tedious things like organizing paper. I'm just putting it where it's to go (closet) and will go thru it later. Like when we watch a movie or something.

My only "big" need is some sheers. I've not seen anything I like, so I need to get some material & go at it. Just haven't. So my valance looks a bit like it's missing something- but it is! Will hit the fabric shop here at 10am when I go off to get N's friend. I do LOVE the fabric I picked up at JoAnne's though. It's fun, funky & bright! A perfect tie-in.

This would be the main wall. Ignore the desk, it's horrid. But one day I will have space. I hope tonight. But, nothing is in the living room, or in the center of the room any longer!! That is a huge thing- especially to my husband!

It's Orange Burst!

So, my mommy gave me some $$$$ and I decided to use it to redo my scraproom. It's not a very large space, but, even small spaces need TLC! I was going to do a shade of green. It's what I had it Kuna. Then I decided change was good, and went with yellow. Only, couldn't find a yellow I loved. Then I recalled how much I *LOVED* the "Love" I did for Hailey's room, and went with this.
My mom said it looked like a tangerine threw up. I had her watch as we painted- see her money to good use. :)
